Can women be judged according to what they wear? Various incident have occured whereby women are attacked by verocious men because of their dress code. A recent incident happened at the Noord Taxi Rank where two young girls were attacked by men because they were wearing miniskirts. The girls were attacked by men who are old enough to be their fathers. This incident has raised concerns that women are not able to express their individuality through clothing that they are comfortable with. They are not free to wear certain items of clothing at public places such as taxi ranks because they fear being victimised. This has raised concerns that women are not free to express their individuality through their dress code. They have to conform themselves to items of clothing that are considered acceptable in our society.Most girls are afraid to wera miniskirts or shorts because they fear they might be harrassed by certain male individuals. The Commission for Gender Equality has expressd their concerns on the matter and has revealed that they are investigations taking place to put a stop to such incidents. Women should be able to wear any items of clothing they want to wear. Women have got rights to be human and to enjoy the youth. They also have the right to wear any garment of clothing that they are comfortable with.
